Reykjavik, Iceland is replete with street art and colorful graffiti. It seems that each turn of a corner delivers a new piece of art for passersby. After seeing these beautifully unique public murals repeatedly during my visit to Reykjavik, I decided to dedicate an hour or two for an official downtown street art hunt.
I set out on foot armed with a camera and found the 20 examples shown here within a several block area. I’m certain that I missed several in the area I covered, and many more in the streets beyond. The work is bright and impressive, and adds an exciting and vibrant texture to the city.
I hope you’ll enjoy these glimpses of Reykjavik street art! Which view is your favorite?
